He spent a long time as hospice medical director and he founded a national model of care that many of our listeners will be familiar with, AIM, which stands for the Advanced Illness Management program, which has influenced CMS policy. I think this is actually bread and butter geriatrics. We could have talked for hours!

On last week’s podcast we interviewed the medical director and the chaplain of the prison’s hospice unit (Hospice in Prison Part 1 ). But the other was she read an article about our hospice in the May of 2018 New York Times magazine. And one day I was in a chapel and I saw an article in USA Today about our hospice here.
