Houston Hospice Makes Inpatient Unit Available to Other Operators

Houston Hospice is opening up its inpatient unit for use by other providers. Other hospices will soon be able to admit patients to the company’s unit in the Texas Medical Center in Houston. How Northeast Georgia Medical Center Rebuilt Its Community-Based Palliative Program

Patients at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center can now take advantage of a new palliative care program that brings the care from the clinic or hospital into the patient’s home. The center, which covers 14 counties in the northeast corner of the state, began offering the in-home palliative care program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, the hospital revamped and reworked the program and subsequently earned Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) accreditation.
