Dr. Leena Dutta, medical director of hospice and in-home palliative care for the center, joined the program in May, 2022 and oversaw the initiative. The Northeast Georgia model provides a nurse practitioner, who works under the advice of a physician, and a social worker. That staff oversees a patient census of 140.
