I read an interview on Friday with James P. Owen, who found his wellness when he turned 70. His interview reminded me that we can choose a wellness activity every day. We can remember our choice by setting our question intention each morning. We can ask ourselves: How will I be well today? The question will move us to find an answer. We could choose time to exercise, a salad with our lunch, a few moments of relaxation, a flower bouquet to bring home or a bed time that gives us enough sleep.

The Life After Death

My dad died on July 2. A fall on June 11 started his final decline; he closed his eyes on June 30 to begin his final transition. He joined my mom and brother in Heaven on July 2. With his transition, my caregiving experience ends. This past week feels like the first week of a normal routine. I could write my “Good Morning” messages again, which I last wrote on June 9.
