So if I remember that study correctly, so it was a randomized control trial that was published in the New England Journal of palliative care plus usual care, versus just usual oncological care. I entered this field wanting to actually optimize end of life care for patients with blood cancers.

What we did was ask clinicians earlier in the ICU stay for very sick patients to document prognosis, and for those who they thought would survive, to document six-month functional prognosis. That’s a pretty big palliative care study. Eric: We just did a podcast on creating palliative care consults.
