When you talk about an interdisciplinary team coming into your home — nurses, a social worker, chaplain, having access to the physician, volunteers — people are automatically going to think that there’s a cost associated with that. I know that UnityPoint has established a nurse residency program.

Home Health aides are available to assist with activities of daily living such as bathing and personal care. Spiritual support is provided by the Hospice chaplain and social workers are also available. If a patient is experiencing uncontrolled symptoms, a higher level of home care called continuous care can be initiated.
