Set to open this summer, the hospice facility will feature 15 patient beds at Lourdes Senior Community in Waterford, Michigan. Expanding hospice care in the senior community will allow for improved support and care collaboration, according to Angela Hospice President and CEO Marti Coplai.

Bereavement counseling will be available to families at the center for 13 months following the death of a loved one, as well as respite services for caregivers. The PeaceHealth Richard Nau Hospice House opened on Jan. Patients at the reopened inpatient hospice will receive 24/7 end-of-life care.
