Ground transport nurses began taking the Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) certification when it was introduced in 2006. This July will mark the 30th anniversary of the Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN). Today, there are more than 5,500 CFRNs and more than 450 CTRNs in the United States.
