Set to open this summer, the hospice facility will feature 15 patient beds at Lourdes Senior Community in Waterford, Michigan. Expanding hospice care in the senior community will allow for improved support and care collaboration, according to Angela Hospice President and CEO Marti Coplai.

Kansas City-based Hospice Care of America (HCA) was recently acquired by a newly formed holdings company established by the private equity firm Kain Capital LLC. Kain Capital established PERA Holdings as a way to gain a foothold in the hospice market. PERA aims to acquire mid-sized hospice and palliative care companies.
