Pagliaro joined the organization in 2012 as a hospice and palliative physician, ascending into roles such as associate director of palliative medicine and vice president of medical services. Pagliaro is also medical director of palliative medicine at Jefferson Health East and serves on its ethics and cancer committees.

With any system or product that impacts kidney care, the medical director, dialysis operations manager, and I are involved.

Reading Ira’s article, it essentially was the VITAS Medical Director job description. This is not even best practices, this is min specs drawn from the hospice medical director manual and our conditions of participation, Medicare conditions of participation, that’s all. Joe, what are your thoughts on that?
