We are thrilled to welcome Yana Smith, our new Clinical Nursing Supervisor, to the Freedom Home Care family. Yana brings a wealth of experience and passion to our team, having begun her career in healthcare as a private home health aide in 2012 while pursuing her nursing degree.

About Yana

Yana is a graduate of the College of Lake County (2016) and Purdue University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019. She is currently completing her Master’s degree, adding further depth to her impressive academic and professional credentials. Yana’s journey in nursing is fueled by a heartfelt dedication to care and an enduring commitment to her patients’ well-being.

A Glimpse into Yana’s Life

Outside of her professional life, Yana is a devoted wife to Tyler and a loving mother to their daughter Stella, aged 11. The Smith family, including their beloved pets Charles, Daisy, and Jade, enjoys spending quality time outdoors. They often take trips in their camper to explore the National Parks of the Midwest. Yana is not only a dedicated nurse but also an enthusiastic cook who loves experimenting with new recipes every week and an avid tennis player, competing on weekends with her high school doubles partner.
