Choice Health at Home will acquire Accentra Home Health and Hospice, headquartered in Oklahoma City. The transaction will extend Choice’s Oklahoma footprint to cover about 90% of the state, including urban and rural communities, the company indicated. In time, it will rebrand as Choice Health at Home.

is launching a pediatric palliative care professional training program at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center (OUHSC). The foundation received a $60,000 grant from BlueCross BlueShield of Oklahoma (BCBSOK) to fund the program, through the insurance provider’s Healthy Kids, Healthy Families initiative.

Established in 2003, Instant Care of Arizona provides in-home senior care and caregiving support to patients and their families in Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, among 15 other cities throughout the Maricopa County area. Kindful Hospice operated six locations in Oklahoma and Kansas, and Amed had eight offices in Texas.

Kansas City-based Hospice Care of America (HCA) was recently acquired by a newly formed holdings company established by the private equity firm Kain Capital LLC. Established in 2004, HCA operates a group of affiliated hospice and palliative care providers in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
